With this home-made vegan pumpkin spice syrup you can create your own vegan pumpkin spice latte at home! Super sweet, delicious and filled with autumnal spices.
- 130 g golden caster sugar
- 200 ml water
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp ginger powder
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 2 whole cardamom pods
- a pinch of ground nutmeg
- Add all pumpkin spice syrup ingredients into a nonstick saucepan and heat them on low/medium heat. Stir regularly until most of the water has evaporated and the mixture has become thick and sticky.
- Run the syrup through a small sieve to filter out any spices and store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 7 days. Add about 1 tablespoon of the syrup to your desired pumpkin spice drink.
- To assemble your vegan pumpkin spice latte, add 1 tbsp of the syrup, 1 shot of espresso (or 2 if it’s a Monday), and frothed plant milk. If you’re feeling fancy, top with cream, sprinkles, and more syrup.
If you are feeling extra fancy, add a dash of vanilla extract to your drink!
