Description

With this home-made vegan pumpkin spice syrup you can create your own vegan pumpkin spice latte at home! Super sweet, delicious and filled with autumnal spices.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 130 g golden caster sugar
  • 200 ml water
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ginger powder
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 2 whole cardamom pods
  • a pinch of ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Add all pumpkin spice syrup ingredients into a nonstick saucepan and heat them on low/medium heat. Stir regularly until most of the water has evaporated and the mixture has become thick and sticky.
  2. Run the syrup through a small sieve to filter out any spices and store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 7 days. Add about 1 tablespoon of the syrup to your desired pumpkin spice drink.
  3. To assemble your vegan pumpkin spice latte, add 1 tbsp of the syrup, 1 shot of espresso (or 2 if it’s a Monday), and frothed plant milk. If you’re feeling fancy, top with cream, sprinkles, and more syrup.

Notes

If you are feeling extra fancy, add a dash of vanilla extract to your drink!
