Vegan Matcha Bliss Ball Recipe

Hello you lovely people,

probably one of the most asked questions to vegans: what about the protein?! And you know what? We got plenty of that!

In my #gotprotein project I am therefore showing you different recipes to keep your proteins high as a plant-based eater.

I have been using protein powder to enrich my diet for nearly a year now – for my body type my macros are split this way: High protein, low carb. Even if I wasn’t vegan, it would be fairly difficult to get to my daily protein intake. This is where the protein powder comes in! Yes, protein powder is not just for bodybuilders and gym fanatics 😉

With the help of protein powder, I can easily get to my suggested daily protein intake – but I also have to mention in addition that I don’t always count my macros every day 😉

I have been using the protein blends by PureBlendCo for a few months already now, they are my absolute favourite in flavour and also: they have added superfoods! By using these blends, I get 2 healthy additions into my diet!

One of my favourite ways to enjoy protein powder is in snacks (cause I definitely have a weakness for snacking!), so protein bliss balls are right up my alley!

Here’s an easy & awesome recipe for you guys:

Matcha Bliss Balls Recipe

Ingredients:

1 cup almond flour

3 Tbsp Coconut Oil

1 Tbsp desiccated coconut

2 tsp matcha powder

2 Tbsp Pureblend Matcha protein powder

5 dates pitted + chopped

4 tbsp filtered water

Method:

  1. Add the almond flour, coconut oil, coconut, matcha, protein powder and dates to a food processor (alternatively use a stick blender and a high container)
  2. Blend the ingredients until the dates become a paste, then slowly add the water in.
  3. Blend until you receive a smooth paste, transfer into a bowl and set into the fridge for a minimum of 1 hour.
  4. After 1 hour use a teaspoon and your hands to form the bliss balls. Dust them with a little matcha – ready!
  5.  Enjoy!
