Check in on the burgers after 4 minutes and flip them. Once they are fully cooked, remove them from the air fryer.
Assemble your burgers to your liking and enjoy right away!
Notes
Remember, every air fryer is different and the cooking time might therefore also be slightly different. For reference, I use a Ninja Foodi. I recommend checking on your burgers after 4 minutes, flip, then checking back after another 3-4 minutes and adjusting the cooking time as needed.
If you're cooking non-vegan burgers in an air fryer, then please note that the FDA recommends that the burgers need to get to an internal temperature of 165F to ensure they are fully cooked. The cooking time might differ depending on the size and thickness of your burgers. I recommend checking on them regularly and testing them with a thermometer.
If you want to make a cheeseburger, then add the cheese slices onto your burger patties for the last minute of the air frying process.
Most frozen burgers should be absolutely fine being placed straight into the air fryer, but it depends on the type and brand of burger patties. If you want to be sure, add a layer of kitchen foil and/or a little cooking oil spray.
