Easy to make Cauliflower Burger Recipe - super tasty and healthy burger alternative perfect for cooking on a BBQ or on the stove!

If you love vegan burgers as much as I do, you'll be glad to know that I've got a few burger recipes that I'm sure you'll love. Click here to take a look through all vegan burger recipes.

The tastiest things can sometimes be the simplest to create - such as this super delicious cauliflower burger!

As you will find in this recipe, a crispy burger does not always need to mean plenty of breadcrumbs and and oily mess as I have used hemp seeds to create the crunchy goodness of this burger.

    Ingredients

    • Cauliflower
    • Milled Linseeds
    • Chickpea flour
    • Plant-based milk
    • Salt
    • Pepper
    • Garlic powder (amount to preference, I used 1/4 tsp)
    • Smoked paprika powder
    • Gluten-free flour (such as rice flour)
    • Hemp seeds
    • Oil
    • Mr Organic Tomato Ketchup

    Instructions

To start with, wash your cauliflower and cut it into slices. These will act as your burger or pattie.

Next, take a large mixing bowl and blend the milled linseeds and chickpea flour along with the plant-based milk and use your chosen spices to season the batter to your liking.

Now, on a shallow plate or bowl mix together your hemp seeds along with the spices. This is going to give your burgers a nice flavourful crispy crunch! When they're mixed, flip your cauliflower burgers in the flour before covering them in the batter.

Pro Tip: Be sure to let the batter drop off the burgers before pressing them into the hemp seed mixture on both sides.

Once your burgers are covered, transfer to a hot pan and fry them in oil on both sides over medium heat for 8-10 mins or until they crisp up and are hot in the middle.

When your burgers are cooked through and crispy, serve in gluten-free burger buns with a generous dollop of Mr Organic Tomato Ketchup!
