Pear & Cinnamon Smoothie (Vegan)

This recipe has been created in friendly collaboration with Pulsin

I’ve definitely had my phase with smoothies – and this super simple Pear & Cinnamon Smoothie was a delicious discovery that I made in 2014 and I was honestly obsessed with it for weeks!

Recently, I have re-discovered my love for this simple vegan smoothie – I love its smooth creaminess and it simply tastes like a special treat to me. Nowadays I love to add some vegan protein powder to the smoothie (I used Pulsin’s Soya Protein in this case). It’s an easy way to incorporate more vegan protein in my diet, as I am sure there are days that I do not eat enough other vegan protein sources. Protein powders are the perfect addition to a vegan diet in this case – and if it’s this easy to incorporate them in delicious meals, then it’s a win-win, right?

Pear & Cinnamon Smoothie (Vegan)

To create the creaminess in this smoothie, I’ve added in a ripe banana – it gives the smoothie a natural sweetness without the addition of refined sugar and adds to the overall smooth texture of the pear & cinnamon smoothie. You can of course also use frozen bananas, it’s particularly refreshing when enjoying this vegan smoothie recipe in the heat of summer.

Same as a typical smoothie recipe, the steps in creating this pear & cinnamon smoothie are super straight forward: Simply add all ingredients to a high-speed blender and combine until smooth. Simple as that!

You will also realise that I am using 50/50 water and plant based milk (I love both soy and almond in combination with this smoothie). The combo of both gives the smoothie a smooth and creamy finish, whilst not being too heavy. Feel free to adjust to your liking however – if you’re proper hungry and use this smoothie as a full meal, you can add 150ml plant based milk – and the version with only water will make the smoothie lighter.
